They call me the Christmas Jew.

Merry Christmas Love Bugs!!!
I hope you're all having a most fabulous Christmas with your loved ones! I hope you get everything you asked for from Santa haha
This year in our new apartment we most certainly decorated more than we ever have. I bought Gabriel and I personalized stockings and we bought the most beautiful tree! I am Jewish but celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. Even though our menorah was lit, our house certainly screamed Christmas! Sometimes I wish Hanukkah had more of a presence like in my childhood, but I suppose next year I'll just have to make it so. I was perhaps more festive because I wanted to feel like Gabriel and I were truly building our home. I bought apple cider, hot cocoa, marshmallows, and drank them in Christmas jammies. I participated in some great secret Santa exchanges! Gotta love the presents, buying them and receiving equally bring me joy! Whether it's Hanukkah or Christmas, I simply can't get enough of the infusion of cheer. XO

Shopping Season

Monday, December 1, 2014

Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! The holiday season has definitely begun! This time of year is always so warm and cheerful. The decorations, the scents, the people, the presents, it is just a happier month! The shopping is always more fun too. I like the presents; giving them and receiving them. I have to get started on my holiday shopping... I am Jewish but celebrate both Hannukah and Christmas, so it's crunch time for me! On black friday, I managed to buy a bunch of gifts for the babies, but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect gifts for my loved ones! Cyber Monday is a good start?! Lets get to shopping.. XO

Nasty Gal

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

I attended the Nasty Gal Melrose opening this past friday. I asked almost all of my girlfriends to attend this with me but no luck; I went alone.  It was a bit depressing watching all the girls around me with their besties enjoying themselves. It really made me realize that I have not one friend that truly loves fashion like I do. My friends are uninterested in what collection is about to launch, or anything of that nature. I blog because I love it, but it would be nice to share these experiences with someone who also enjoys it. On a happier note, I got to meet the GIRLBOSS herself!  I thought it was pretty cool that she spent the day at the store opening meeting all her customers and fans! She signed my book!
I almost didn't go because the idea of waiting in long ass lines for hours on end is a total deterrent, but in the end I'm glad I did. I mean c'mon...I would of missed out on my opportunity to meet Sophia! I was excited at the prospect of free goodies and rad clothes too! As far as goodies and discounts go, It was a bit of a let down. They passed out a few scratchers, but not to everyone. I was not one of the lucky few to receive any freebies.
The store was amazing! I loved the fitting room area! Mirrored everything and how awesome that inside each fitting room you can see everything happening on the outside as well. I bought a cropped leather jacket, some high waisted leather leggings and a sexy black midi style dress. I wanted to buy the entire store! I definitely foresee this store being trouble for me and my bank account!

I'm Cobalt Blue

Saturday, November 22, 2014

I have 54 published blog posts so far for the year. It seems unlikely that I will reach 100 post by the end of the year, however I'll shoot for 75 and anything thereafter I'll consider great. I literally sit on Instagram and spend hours comparing myself to other bloggers. It's not that I want to be them, it's that I know I am them and I'm not applying myself. I waste my days away... Anyways as far as this post goes, I broke out this cobalt jumpsuit that I've barely worn. It is the only article of clothing that I own that is solely cobalt blue. I think that it looks great paired with this cropped leather jacket. I used to be afraid of wearing blue with black. I used to think it was a rule or something, but now I just think wear what you like lady! :P

I woke up like dis

Thursday, November 20, 2014

Today for some reason I woke up early. Early, as in 8am early is super rare for me. If I get out of bed and start my day before noon, it is a great accomplishment. I don't know if it is because I had a good nights rest or because I woke up really thirsty that I was able to wake at that hour. Also I ate a banana and I hate bananas... I wonder what the rest of the day has in store for me :) XO

Are Crops for me?

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

I loved this top when I bought it. So much so that I also bought it in black. I've had it for about 3 months now and this is the first time I wear it. It is a rather boxy fit and I'm not sure if it flatters me. Are crops made for certain body types? What do you guys think? I have come to the realization that I have purchased many crop tops but have not worn them. Perhaps they are just not for me?! XO

Flannel Season Returns

Monday, November 17, 2014

I haven't posted these pictures yet because I feel like I look a bit heavier in them. I'd never worn the crop top before and in an effort to wear things I have not worn yet, I thought it was a cute fit with these high waisted jeans. I'm not so sure I loved it. In the end, I thought I looked too busty and that is perhaps the reason I never got around to wearing it. Also flannels are the thing lately! Flannels always seem to make their way back around the holidays. I always break mine out around this time. I'm thinking I need a new one? Speaking of the holidays, I've already been thinking of the many things I want to add to my wish list this year. I'm seriously a shopaholic (emoji covering it's eyes!!!)

Overall Who Cares

Saturday, November 8, 2014

" I'm not a model, I'm a blogger. "
I stumbled upon this quote today. I wonder if people judge me because I post pictures of myself? I'm not trying to be a model. I'm just having fun! When you really think about it though, who gives a fuck, just be you! The thing I love about bloggers is that they are "normal" girls. These are the girls we can relate to. Their purpose is to inspire.

Hair-free

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Today I had my first 8 dollar coffee and my first laser hair removal session. I've been putting off the laser hair removal for almost two years now. I'm such a wimp; the thought of pain deterred me from ever going. I finally mustered up the courage to go. Let me tell you, it's no joke. It was super quick but very uncomfortable. It truly does feel like a rubber band snapping at your skin over and over. It is even comparable to getting a tattoo in my opinion. I'm not looking forward to the next session but I am looking forward to being hair-free! I didn't have any discomfort after the procedure so overall it's definetly worth it! I went to SEV LASER AESTHETICS, which ironically my bf told me about. The prices are phenomenal, so let's hope the results are too! I will keep you up to date on the results. XO

Never Worn New

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Like every girl, I look into my closet and tell myself I have nothing to wear. I know that just the thought is ridiculous, because my closet is filled with clothing I've never even worn before. Yes, I still have things with the tags on them. Today I decided to wear a sweater that I bought a year ago. This month, I'm going to try my hardest to wear the clothing that I have yet to wear. XO

NARSissist maybe?

Monday, October 27, 2014

I've only gotten my makeup professionally done less than a handful of times. Almost every time, I ended up hating it. It sucks when you pay a boatload for something and then your disappointed in the results. Usually I give into these things for special occasions, but this time around I decided to give it another try. I booked an appointment with Nars Cosmetics.
Make up is still very new to me... I used to be very minimal and now it seems my skincare and make up routine has been quite extended. I'm quickly learning new techniques and styles. This appointment also served as great learning experience. Although there was no special occasion in mind, I asked the makeup artist for a dramatic evening look. I was planning on going into work later that evening so I thought it smart. She did an amazing job at providing my dramatic look. I loved the eye make up especially. In the end, I bought mostly everything she used to achieve the dramatic eye. I wasn't too impressed with the face products. They left my face too oily and porous. Overall, I had a good experience until the next day, my eyes became rather puffy. I think I had a reaction to the makeup brushes or sample products used.
Here is a pic of my make up... what do you guys think? XO

(I received an awesome gift with purchase as well)

(What I bought: Kaliste and Mambo eyepencils, Thunderbolt eyeshadow, Cacao concealer for contouring, and eyebrow pencil)

Cuz I'm HAPPY

Thursday, October 23, 2014

It's tiring trying to figure out what you want to do in life. Those who have figured out their passions and pursued them as careers are truly blessed. Finding your direction is no joke. Almost nothing excites me as much a great blog post or a trip to the mall. Although I realize that the fashion/blogging industry is an extremely difficult field to excel in, I'm just gonna do me and hope that it inspires someone. Happiness is the ultimate goal! XO (emoji with a wink face)

P.S my boyfriend ordered Pharell's special edition La Duree macarons for Colette. Strait from Paris, these bad boys got delivered to our front door yesterday. Needless to say this small box of 6 was devoured. The special flavors were interesting; Coca cola was definitely a surprise! The peanut butter one was classic American. Even though I prefer the classic french flavors, it was still a treat. The packaging reminded me of Space, the phases of the moon or something of that nature. It was most surely a representation of Pharell and we loved it.

Coquette

Saturday, October 18, 2014

I might of mentioned before in previous posts, that I moved. I absolutely love my new apartment! It's such a beautiful building with great amenities! The best part about moving to a new place is decorating! My boyfriend and I have been having some fun trying to decorate our new home. I can't wait to show you how it turns out. I've scoped the Pinterest and done oodles of online shopping. It's almost as fun as shopping for clothes. I've been so caught up in interior decorating, I've neglected the fashion (emoji with it's mouth open.) Since California weather still makes for sunny days in Fall, this look has a little bit of summertime influences. It's all about this hat though hahaha XO

Happy Girl

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

I captioned this first photo on my Instagram with this quote: "It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not." We hold ourselves back so often for fear of failure. This fear gets in the way of what we really can achieve. In fact, the only person you need to prove yourself to, is yourself.  I know it sounds super cliche, but it's true. I constantly talk myself out of what I think I can't do or wont succeed at. Why do we do this? How will we ever know? Just do what makes you happy and forget the rest! I've been so happy this year, It feels like my life is finally falling into place and everything is coming together. I'm so excited at the prospect of whats to come! Today is the Jewish New Year and I'm in great spirits. It's only fitting that today, I am feeling as though a new chapter of my life is opening.. the chapter where I'm confident in who I am and what I can do!

Sample Sale Shopper

Monday, September 22, 2014

I'm such a sucker for a good sample sale. I've been to so many over the past years, that I've learned what brands throw a good sale and which ones to pass on. I went to the For Love and Lemons sample sale for the first time, this past Saturday. I was extremely excited at the prospect of scoring some of their Skivies collection for a way discounted price! As I arrived to the warehouse, I was shocked to see how long the line was. There must of been over five hundred people in line for sure. I became very discouraged and almost talked myself out of waiting. After braving over two hours in line, I entered the sale. I didn't score any of the collection, nor were there any bralettes left to purchase. About ten minutes in, I decided I wasn't going to find anything in the piles of what seemed to be the unwanted, so I stalked  the girls that already scored some cute pieces and waited for them to decide they didn't want them. I ended up purchasing these three items pictured at a total of $110. The skirt is a bit large and the dress has a broken zipper, but nothing a tailor can't fix! Sadly, I don't think I'll return to one of their sample sales. It's simply too much of a hassle. What's your limit? Would you have waited? Share your sample sale strategies with me haha XO
