Street lamp Style

Friday, February 20, 2015

Lately I've been on an all things LA kick. LACMA's cast iron street-lamps are definitely considered an iconic LA picture spot. Although I've visited the museum many times, it was fun to goof around and take pictures like a tourist.

Beachy Monday

Monday, February 16, 2015

I had such a lovely day today. I got to spend it with my lovely sister and adorable nephew.  We spent the day at Laguna Beach and then grabbed a sweet treat in Westminster after. I'd forgotten how much  I enjoy being in the OC. I really should spend more time at the beach; the fresh ocean air does the body good! Laguna is one of my favs, I love the giant rocks and beautiful clean scenery it offers. I must admit the one thing that I truly miss about OC is being close to my family. My sister is my best friend and it's sometimes depressing for me that we live far from one another. Granted it's not a million miles away, but with our busy lifestyles it makes it a bit difficult. Nevertheless whenever we see each other we try to squeeze a BOBA in. It's so much easier to grab a good boba in OC too. West Hollywood sure is lacking in that department haha
If you know of any unique boba spots, please do let me know. XO

Vday

Sunday, February 15, 2015

Hello there! I hope you all had a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Sorry for the delay on this post, I was celebrating with the boyfriend. He most certainly spoiled me! He actually bought me almost all the items from my Vday wish list, so I can't wait to post my new goodies. This photo shoot has left me wanting to wear more red. I don't own many red garments, but I love how bold and daring it is to wear. It sure was fun being the lady in red! XO

LV SERIES 2 - A Selfie Mecca

Friday, February 13, 2015

My first designer handbag was the Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy. I bought it on one of my first trips to Paris as an adult. The handbag is not only a classic staple for me, but it also has sentimental value. It was only fitting to sport it on my visit to Louis Vuitton's Series 2 in LA. The exhibit blew my mind; It was very much an experience! I loved the way it was executed, each room alluded to the next and it was truly as if I was living a story. It was a modern interpretation and preview of the spring fashion show and it brought me to life. I've never been to a fashion show but I sure felt the excitement of one through this exhibit. It was beautiful, unexpected and visually stimulating all  throughout! I highly recommend that you check out this selfie mecca, as it only runs till February 22nd.
XO

99 or a dozen red balloons

Thursday, February 12, 2015

Valentine's day.... I wouldn't say I'm disinterested in this hallmark holiday, but it does seem a bit overrated. For those who don't have partners or lovers, it may bring on somewhat depressing vibes. However for those who do, it perhaps provides a day to remind that person just how special they are to you. Sometimes in our busy chaotic lives we forget to stop and feel the love! You should always celebrate and cherish the one you love, no matter what day it is. Consider Valentine's day as just a friendly reminder! This impromptu red balloon photo shoot has got me feeling lighthearted and full of love.  XO

Oh please BE MINE

Friday, February 6, 2015

Just thinking about Valentine's Day has got me lusting for all things hearts, red, pink, and lovely! Customarily, your supposed to be looking for gifts for your partner... oopsy

(Note: You can click on the photos for links and be a shopaholic like me. )

Gosh, these sandals have been on my wishlist for quite some time now. They are just too cute! A good pair of flats is a must, because lets be honest who roams the city in their heels all day? Gotta take care of those feet, and why not give them some love with these bad boys hahaha.

I don't own a pair of pink heels. These would be perfect don't you think? Pink is like one of my fav colors; I'm so confused as to why I don't already own a pair. These are so affordable and really classic. For some reason, I feel like they give off a Sarah Jessica Parker vibe.

A red dress seems like appropriate attire for Valentines day. I love these two picks so much. They exude sexy and are both the perfect pop of red! I actually tried the strapless ForLoveandLemons dress on in black and fell in love with it, but now that I see it in red, it's got me thinking I wanna be the lady in red. I also think red works better on brunettes.

I threw a white dress in the mix because who wants to be basic and like everyone else. This dainty little number is so girly and feminine, and is perfect for a little Vday outing. Pair it with those pink heels and you've got magic!

Red nail polish is a staple and go big or go home, right?  I'm so curious about Christian Louboutin's nail polish line. Is it worth the  $ ???

Can't do Valentine's day without a little lingerie. If you don't already own a naughty number, there are probably many other options that would suit the occasion better, but this  seemed so cutesy to me and I just love it!

Well there you have it, a  list of wants  that I LOVE.  I hope your Valentine spoils you, and if he doesn't why not spoil yourself... YOU DESERVE IT!

XOXO

#HOLLYWEIRD

Thursday, February 5, 2015

I sometimes feel like an outsider in the city that I grew up in. About a year or so after I finished high school, I moved to Orange County with my family. My early 20s were spent in a city that was nothing like LA. I wasn't much of a beach girl, yet I lived in a city that thrived on that beach life. Although it was an entirely different way to spend my early 20's, It was still wonderful! There are so many great things about Orange County, but I was always an LA girl at heart. I always knew I'd find my way back and here I am rediscovering my beautiful city. LA has so much life and character; it never disappoints. Even when I revisit some of my fav places, it's always a new experience. What are some of your favorite LA spots? XO

(I dont smoke / does this make me look cool? )

Pleather Please

Monday, February 2, 2015

I was super anxious for the end of January to arrive. I took a trip to VEGAS!!! It was not only Super Bowl weekend but it was also (the boyfriend) Gabriel's 30th Birthday. He chose Vegas for the sports and the gambling. Yes, Vegas is great for that, but I love the idea that it's Sin City. I can win money, eat at expensive restaurants, stay at a schnazy hotel, all the while looking fabulous. The dressing up aspect is the fun part to me. I can't wait to fill you in on all the Vegas outfit deets! I literally just got back from Vegas and although I'm exhausted, I'm still on Vegas time. I'm wide awake and doing a lot of thinking about all the posts I'd like to do this month. In the meantime, here is a casual look from last week that I neglected to post. This almost head to toe pleather look was perfect for the gloomy LA weather last week. XO
