Hello Loves!
Hope your soaking up the sunshine, like I have been! I mean c'mon it feels like summer! I've been so sick lately, I haven't been able to enjoy the weather much from my bed LOL. It's time to get back to the grind.. I decided to take these photos today to submit an entry in the Forever21 Insta-challenge. Forever21 is turning 30 and has asked it's fans to tell them why they love them so much, not to mention the winner scores a 3000 dollar gift card!!! In this outfit, I feel edgy, free and badass! Wish me luck XO

Japan part deux

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Tokyo is very vibrant and alive. In a sense, it reminds me of New York, it too delivers the hustle and bustle of a real city. Skyscrapers, lit up signs, crowded metros, large parks, businessmen everywhere and the smell of cigarettes, make it a true metropolis. There are so many little cities within one big city, if that makes any sense. Every little area has it's own energy! It's easy to visit them all, as the main form of transportation is by train, which I loved. As far as culture goes, the Japanese are very polite, or at least it seams that way. Everything is very neat and compact. The Japanese work really hard. I suppose the Japanese have to grow up very quickly and it is perhaps for that reason that on their off time they indulge in games and childish activities. It was surprising to me to see small children riding the metro without any supervision. Many people stay out very late, and get very drunk. I barely saw any homeless people.
I thought the best part about Japan would be the food. However, it was difficult for me to enjoy the Japanese cuisine, normally it's my favorite! However during my trip, my stomach was very sensitive.. I'm not sure if the places I chose to eat at, had any involvement or perhaps my jet lag but it was a little disappointing for me. I thought I would have the best sushi and the most amazing BBQ and ramen. I can't honestly say that I fell in love with anything I ate there. Yoshinoya in Japan is quite good and let me say that it's a million times better in Japan. I did enjoy eating the small rice sandwiches sold at the 7/elevens and Lawson stores.  Anyways here are some photos I took... Enjoy! XO

Sweet Sakura Girl

Hey there LA, I'm back!!!!
It's been a crazy jam packed two weeks! I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. I haven't had a moment of rest and now I'm getting sick.. After Coachella, I've lost my voice and my sinuses are a mess! I'm taking the next two sick days to fill you in on all my recent adventures. Japan was a beautiful sight to see and Coachella was a blast, but I'm glad to be home!
Anyways lets get on with it.. JAPAN, OH JAPAN and it's gardens! We were so lucky to catch the end of cherry blossom season. It was almost magical; the delicate blossoms blanket the city with a beautiful shade of soft pink. The Japanese believe the Sakura to be a symbolization of life. The short blossoming season suggests that life is short. The gardens were probably my favorite part of my visit. It was so lovely and peaceful. XO

Currently I'm siting on the plane, unable to sleep because a baby is crying it's face off. Ironically  I have the urge to go coddle him or her, like I know what I'm doing lol. Perhaps I'm getting older and babies are growing on me, or perhaps my sisters pregnancy has got me very excited to be an auntie. Nevertheless, I'm getting older and this year has already brought on many changes in my life so far. I'm so very excited to visit Japan. I've heard from many that the Japanese are quite friendly. Even though I have not set foot there yet, I can already feel the difference in hospitality. Having not been on a plane for longer than 6 hours in quite awhile, I find that this flight isn't too bad. I'm not sure if it's because I'm flying to Japan, but I've never been given a hot towel at departure or an ice cream sandwich as a snack on any flights I've ever been on, domestic or international. It also helps that the plane is rather empty, leaving room to take up an entire aile and sprawl out. Still with all the added comforts, I remain very anxious to begin my trip. Stay tuned for updates of my travels XO

Denim on Denim

Happy HuMp day hehe!
Can a girl get some favorable wind for a photoshoot? :P
This wind is so terribly chilly! I'm one to always be cold, so unless it's super hot out, you wont find me without a coat or coverup. Although the sun is out, the wind makes it impossible to wear any cute spring dresses. So today I've decided to sport some denim on denim. What do you think of my first attempt at the look? XO
