My lovely fiance told me something the other night that really stuck with me today. He said " I don't follow the rules; rules only limit people." I so desperately wish I wasn't so safe and that I'd take more risks. I do feel limited.. I feel a bit lost lately. I'm not motivated or passionate about my work and I do nothing about it for fear of failure. It's time for a change guys! XO

In My Culotte

A modern day culotte is a knee length pant that hangs like a skirt. It's been so hot in LA these last few days, that these pants seemed like the appropriate choice. I love the allusion of a skirt but the idea that you can function as though you would in a pant. This was my first time wearing them, and I have to say I'm a big fan! Culottes are quickly becoming the next fashion trend and I think these are great for the summer. XO

Flannel Season Returns

I haven't posted these pictures yet because I feel like I look a bit heavier in them. I'd never worn the crop top before and in an effort to wear things I have not worn yet, I thought it was a cute fit with these high waisted jeans. I'm not so sure I loved it. In the end, I thought I looked too busty and that is perhaps the reason I never got around to wearing it. Also flannels are the thing lately! Flannels always seem to make their way back around the holidays. I always break mine out around this time. I'm thinking I need a new one? Speaking of the holidays, I've already been thinking of the many things I want to add to my wish list this year. I'm seriously a shopaholic (emoji covering it's eyes!!!)

It's such a beautiful Sunday! I hope your enjoying your day as much as I am! I'm super stoked on my outfit today, as you can tell, I'm all smiles. I purchased the top last week and have been itching to wear it since. I love the train; it's so pretty and gives the top a dainty element. Paired with the hot pink shorts, I think it's very spring appropriate. Coincidentally while taking a stroll down Melrose, I ran into Marilyn and couldn't resist a photo op. I think it's safe to say she approves ;)

I spent last tuesday evening with the boyfriend at the Americana. I always love taking a stroll through this shopping center. So many things to buy, not enough funds though!! I think after that trip, I'm all tapped out for awhile! I need to save my pennies for my big trip to Japan. Here is what a wore to shop around. It's a classic look that's comfortable and stylish. Sorry I've been missing in action for the past week; I was in Hawaii, celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and my little sister's engagement! It was such a lovely trip. I was able to spend quality time with those I love. The week was also quite a treat thanks to the hotel. We had such a delightful stay at The Modern Honolulu. Here is a sneak peak...

Comfortable Chic

Being comfortable is one of the main concerns for me when I get dressed.
You know what they say "confidence is the best accessory."
Wearing something you love can make you confident too!  I know when I love the fit of something, I always feel good and want to show off my bod hahaha
This dress is one of my favorite "on the go" looks, its so simple and very comfortable but still alludes sexiness. Although barely any skin is visible, the fit is very body hugging and shows your curves. XO

On sunday, I went to the Melrose trading post and purchased these fun sunglasses and this awesome recycled crop tee. The stand that I purchased the crop from had a bunch of different tees that were all refashioned into crop tops. I instantly fell in love with this one, it's so cute! Today I paired it with my favorite faux leather skirt. This skirt is so versatile, I can pair it with almost anything! XO

Leopard and Sunshine

I hope you all had a fabulous NYE celebration! I know 2014 is going to be just great! How are you all keeping up with those new year resolutions? As for me, I'm absolutely believing in myself and trusting my choices. Today I decided to wear this see-thru white lace top with a nude bra and after all the "bling" of the new year, I'm still sportin' that sparkle! I mean who doesn't love to shine? Not to mention the beautiful sun is out in full affect today.
I was in dire need of some new flats! I purchased these new leopard flats on new years day and have been wearing them since. I love that I can wear them with anything.
